The tour is mostly wheelchair accessible, but some older sections of the building may not be. However, with prior notice, a concierge will accompany wheelchair users during certain parts of the tour, such as the auditorium, providing them with a tablet to watch a video on the substage machinery. Meanwhile, another staff member engages with them about the missed portions. If a wheelchair user can manage a few steps, they may access the Gallery and Royal Room, and their ability to navigate the tunnel is assessed individually. The tour pace accommodates the slowest person in the group.

Uncover over 350 years of history, mystery, thrillers and killers. Immerse yourself in the birthplace of the musical, modern pantomime, moving scenery, regular rehearsals and naturalistic acting, in our beautifully renovated theatre.
Join us on a magical journey through theatrical history at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, the oldest theatre on the same site in the world.
Afterwards, head to our Art Deco inspired bar and lounge, to feast on Lily Vanilli scones and unlimited loose leaf tea.
Guided tours are in English and last approximately 1 hour. Sometimes we'll need to change the route due to other events taking place in the building.
Please note this is a walking tour with numerous steps and backstage areas, we recommend wearing comfortable shoes. Theatre Royal Drury Lane is also a working theatre so the tour route may vary
